How To Use The IWOOT iPhone App

You may be aware that we’ve just launched a brand new iPhone Application - ‘Things We Didn’t Know’. Basically, it’s a whole load of possibly-true ‘facts’ sent in by you lot available to browse at your leisure. It’s nonsense, but who doesn’t need a little bit of that in their day-to-day lives?

Anyway, it’s easy-peasy to get it on your iPhone:

Step 1: Visit the App Store on your iPhone menu.

Step 2: Enter ‘IWOOT’ in the ‘Search’ box, and the ‘Things We Didn’t Know’ App should pop up.

Step 3: Press the button that says ‘FREE’ (that’s right, folks, we’re so good to you!), enter your App Store password and then install it.

Step 4: Open up the App and cycle through as many ridiculous ‘facts’ (honestly, some of them are facts) as you like. Enjoy.

See? Easy-peasy. Now you’ll never be stuck for conversation topics again, and you’ll always have a fountain of curiosity in your pocket. A little bit like one of those little books of philosophy quotes, but obviously better. If you want to submit your own Thing We Didn’t Know, then go to TWDK on our site.

Now you’ve got our lovely Application, why not turn your thoughts to the second generation? What should we do next? How can we improve on it? Feel free to comment below…

    Dear Wooters,

I searched for IWOOT and got nothing, but search for “I want” and your app appears.

How many fun facts are there?

  • Danny Woot 30th Sep 09

Smiff, there are literally thousands. And they’re constantly being added to - you can add your own if you think you’ve got something we didn’t know.

Are you bringing this App out as an Android App too?

  • Danny Woot 1st Oct 09

It’s currently only available on the iPhone, sorry about that! We’ll let you know if anything changes.

At the end of the Beatles’ song “A Day in the Life”, an ultrasonic whistle, audible only to dogs, was recorded by Paul McCartney for his Shetland sheepdog

Hi Sassy, please go to our Facebook wall if you want to enter the competition - http://www.facebook.com/iwantoneofthose

Thanks for your entry though, I always wondered what happened in the gap at the end of that song… now we know!

I love useless information, like.. Monsieur Micheal Pallatierre had the unpleasant honour of being the first man to be executed by guillotine.. But when I found this brill little App, I was actually looking for an IWOOT shop App. Are there any plans to make one?
